It is Garrison’s investigation and subsequent book that will become the basis for Oliver Stone’s movie, JFK. He decided to investigate Kennedy’s assassination after receiving numerous informations from one Jack Martin, an employee of Guy Banister, according to which David Ferrie was involved in Kennedy’s assassination. his investigation will lead him to accuse Clay Shaw of conspiracy, but when the investigation is revealed to the public, Garrison will forced to go to trial with a case that was not as solid as he wished. Shaw will be acquitted by the grand jury after less than an hour’s deliberations. Garrison’s main witness, Perry Russo, said - and later denied - that he was present at a party where the other guests were Oswald, David Ferrie and Shaw and where they alegedly talked about assassinating the President.
